Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Aperca LLC handles information for BlockMe MotherFocus. The extension can be used locally without an account.
Information we process
In local mode, settings, block and allow lists, and domain-level usage history stay in extension storage on your device. If you create an account and enable cloud sync, we process account details, settings, block and allow lists, API-key metadata, and the domain-level usage you choose to sync to provide backup, multi-device sync, and the web dashboard. We do not store plaintext passwords or API keys.
How we use information
We use information to provide account access and sync, display usage analytics, secure the service, deliver password resets, and respond to support. We do not sell personal information or use browsing history for advertising.
Extension storage and sync
Local usage history is retained for up to 90 days and can be cleared from the popup. Cloud sync is optional. When connected, the extension sends selected data to the BlockMe MotherFocus service. Disconnecting stops future sync but does not delete data already in your cloud account. Cloud history remains until you clear it or request account deletion; backup copies may persist temporarily under the operational retention schedule.
Turning blocking off does not stop usage tracking. Use “Clear Usage” in the popup to delete the locally stored history. You can export usage data as CSV from the popup.
Service providers and security
We use hosting, database, and transactional-email providers to operate the cloud service. We apply access controls, encrypted transport, hashed credentials, and secure cookies, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can edit block and allow lists, revoke API keys, clear local or synced usage, and request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply.
